Vision Statement
The Georgia School of Theology (GST) entrusts the word of God to faithful men able to teach others to live the book of life, growing the Kingdom of God in Georgia and the Southeastern United States.
Mission Statement
The Georgia School of Theology (GST) operates as a non-profit educational institution in association with the Georgia School of Preaching and Biblical Studies (GSOP) and the churches of Christ. GST provides college-level Bible and leadership instruction to train preachers, teachers, and leaders to faithfully serve in the Lord’s church. GST is not the church and does not speak for the church in matters of faith, doctrine, and practice.
The mission of GST includes:
- Thoroughly prepare sound preachers, teachers, and leaders to meet the local church’s needs and challenges in Georgia and the Southeastern United States. GST teaches the skills needed to biblically lead from the pulpit, classroom, and home. Students will receive comprehensive instruction in the Bible, its history, languages, public speaking, writing, teaching, counseling, technology, and outreach.
- Defend the Bible as God’s verbal, plenary-inspired word against false teaching. Our instructors steadfastly affirm and teach the authority and inspiration of God’s word.
- Provide leadership training to strengthen the churches of Christ in Georgia and the Southeastern United States to meet the biblically mandated leadership expectations.
- Assist sound congregations with establishing faithful assemblies to grow Christ’s Kingdom in Georgia and the Southeastern United States.
About the Warner Robins church of Christ
The Warner Robins church of Christ (WRCOC) exists to worship, edify, serve, and evangelize, seeking to imitate Christ by glorifying God in worshipping together, uplifting each other, serving our neighbors, and sharing the hope we have of eternal life. Knowing God is not pleased with merely maintaining (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:2), WRCOC seeks to imitate Christ in His love for the lost. Thus, in 2005, WRCOC partnered with the Georgia School of Preaching and Biblical Studies (GSOP) to establish a campus for the Middle GA area. Leveraging this good work and its success, WRCOC decided in 2017 to begin planning the Georgia School of Theology (GST), a full-time preaching school, to strengthen and establish faithful assemblies of Christ’s church in GA and the Southeastern United States.
